Grande Femme II by Alberto Giacometti achieved an impressive $29.4 million at Christie’s Paris saleroom on
October 19. The sculpture was first conceived by Giacometti in 1960 as a commissioned art project for the Chase Manhattan Bank’s public plaza in New York.
